Hello! My name is Mrs. D. and I have been teaching art at Nord since 2011. I’ve always loved painting and creating and I feel privileged to share this passion in my classroom and watch young artists develop and grow. I obtained my bilingual teaching credential at Chico State in 2008 and since I found the Nord family, I’ve enjoyed being part of a community where students, parents, and staff work together so well. I love to travel as a way to learn about our world and find inspiration for our art program. I am also a runner, dancer, and lover of outdoor adventures! When I'm not at Nord, you might see me around town teaching painting events for kids and adults with my business, Sienna Joy, or exploring with my little boy James. Living this life as a mom, artist, and teacher is the best! Let's make some wonderful art together!
