Hey there friends and family,
Mrs. Hughes here, and man am I excited about this new year! Welcome to our class website, where I'll do my best to keep you informed about what we are learning, upcoming events, student work, and extra resources like online games and learning websites. A little about me: My name is Rachel Hughes and I am from Chico, Ca. I graduated from Chico State in 2012 with a Liberal Studies degree, and in 2014 with my teaching credential. This is my sixth year teaching, and third year at NCS! My favorite thing about teaching is seeing your child's "imaginary" light bulb light up for the first time. One of my favorite hobbies is to travel, and I love to share the things I learn with my students. I am all about hands-on activities and project based learning. See a need, fill a need! One of my favorite teaching quotes is "It is not what you do for your children, but what you have taught them to do for themselves, that will make them successful human beings"- Ann Landers. |

A special thank you to all of the parents who helped out with our field trips. It was wonderful having so many parent drivers, volunteers, and families who are eager to help out in our class.
