Stone Soup Day
Have you ever read the book Stone Soup? In November, Nord Country School celebrates the ideals of working together that this book promotes. On Stone Soup Day students put on a play where travelers wander into a poor town. These travelers have no money and are very hungry. They convince the town's people that they are making a delicious soup with just one stone. Eventually, everyone brings something to add to the soup and they end up having a wonderful feast together. Our stone soup starts cooking after the play. Each student puts a vegetable into the pot. It cooks all morning and we have a delicious soup in time for lunch. Come join us.
