After School Program
The Butte County Office of Education runs the After School Program at Nord Country School. The program begins as soon as the students finish class and runs until 6:00PM Monday through Friday. Students are served a snack and then have an hour to work on their homework. After homework, students have the opportunity to participate in many different activities and clubs. Middle School Sports
Our middle school sports program encourages teamwork, leadership, and school spirit while promoting healthy competition. Students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of sports throughout the year, developing their athletic skills and building lasting friendships. We welcome all students to get involved, whether they are experienced athletes or trying a sport for the first time.
Music and The Arts
Welcome to another year of drawing, painting, and yes, even sculpting! During our art time at Nord Country School, students get to see famous artworks, appreciate multicultural art, use art vocabulary, and gain practice with various mediums. We'll kick off this school year with a unit exploring ways to be creative: when making our art projects, of course, but also in the rest of our lives. I can't wait to see all the fabulous artwork students will create! For more information, click here.
Nutrition Services
Nord Country School is proud to offer nutritious meals that support student health and learning. Students have two opportunities each morning to enjoy a balanced breakfast, along with a healthy lunch option every day. Our fully stocked veggie bar encourages students to make fresh choices and build lifelong healthy eating habits.
Physical Education
At Nord Country School, we value the importance of physical activity and healthy living. Kindergarten through Fifth Grade students enjoy PE twice a week with their classroom teacher, focusing on movement, teamwork, and fitness skills. Middle School students participate in PE four times a week in mixed-grade classes (6th–8th), led by Mr. Ed, where they build strength, coordination, and sportsmanship through a variety of activities.
Positive Behavior and Intervention Support (PBIS)
We are very excited about our Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS) program. School-wide PBIS provides a positive focus to encourage desirable student behaviors. For more information on our program, click here.
Spanish Language
Get ready to explore the world of Spanish! Our Spanish Program at Nord Country School gives all our students a chance to learn about other cultures and experience another language. For more information, click here.
