Volunteers at Nord Country School
Nothing is more powerful to your child's education than parental involvement and parental support. Research shows that the first time parents get involved in learning, children's academic performance goes up by 30 percent and behavior also improves. Parent involvement not only expands the resources available to our children, it also gives the school a unique community
feeling.
Parent involvement comes in many different forms. It can be simply ensuring that your child gets adequate sleep, gets a good breakfast and comes to school every day. Reading to your child and providing a quiet time and place for homework also shows your child that education is
important.
Here at Nord Country School we strongly encourage our parents and community members
to volunteer time throughout the year. A little help from a lot of hands can make a big difference! If each family volunteers just a little time each trimester, Nord Country School would have thousands of hours of support. Think of the progress we could make!
There are many different ways to become involved even for someone who can't make it out to school during the day. Below is a list of events and ways to be involved in your child’s education.
