Lisa arnone, Fifth Grade
Welcome to the 5th grade! My name is Lisa Arnone (R-NO-NEE), and I will have the honor of guiding your child through his/her final year as an elementary student. This year will mark my 25th year in teaching and my 5th year here at Nord Country School. Over the years I have taught kindergarten, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades. What I do know from these experiences is that UPPER ELEMENTARY IS MY JAM! It is where I am my best person and where I thrive. I hope that you, too, will see this same energy develop in your kiddo throughout the year! I grew up in Southern California where I spent much of my time at the dance studio, on a soccer field, or hanging at the beach. Both of my parents were in education, so I also spent a good amount of time helping out around schools. I'm guessing that's where my initial interest in teaching blossomed! After high school I attended Chico State where I obtained both a degree in English and my teaching credentials. Chico is also where I met my husband, who is a pilot for Southwest Airlines. We have two beautiful, talented daughters who are now off at college (and way too far away!) pursuing their own life dreams. Aside from family, friends, and teaching, some things that make me most happy are Mexican food, Dutch Bros black iced tea (with peach), dance, shopping, flowers, and the beach.
