Mrs. Monica Hill, Second Grade
I grew up in the Bay area but am definitely not a city girl. After living in Sonora, California for two years, I moved up to Chico to stay in 2004. I graduated from the Chico State Tri-Placement Credential Program in 2008 and quickly got my dream job here at Nord Country School. I am entering my 14th year of teaching, and second grade is definitely where I should be. My enthusiasm for teaching matches my second graders’ enthusiasm for learning, which makes for a wonderful classroom setting. My classroom culture is full of music, movement, and dressing up. I teach from my head to my toes. When I'm not at school, I'm spending time with my wonderful husband, sweet 4 year old, 2 energetic dogs, and a crazy cat named Doug. We love traveling anywhere there is water. (Not Doug, he stays at home.) I love being active: I play volleyball, kayak, and bike. My new obsession is my Peloton bike. #TeacherMo I'm not a coffee drinker but love chai tea and carbs.
