Monique dey, English Resource Teacher
Hello! I joined the Nord family ten years ago. Prior to that, I spent seven years teaching second grade and four years as a stay-at-home mom to my two children. I always knew I wanted to work in education and I have found my calling as a reading intervention teacher. I received training from the Institute for Multi-sensory education rooted in the Orton-Gillingham Methodology. Additionally, I am trained in multiple programs for targeted instruction in reading. At Nord, I have the privilege of working with kids in all grades and creating an intervention that is specific to each child. Helping struggling readers is my passion and I love what I do!
“Every child deserves a champion - an adult who will never give up on them,
who understands the power of connection and insists that they become the best that they can possibly be.”
