Sheena sloan, Eighth Grade/Middle School science
I graduated from Chico State in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Science and Education. After completing my teaching credential at Chico State I began my career teaching high school Agriculture Science at Chico High School from 2007-2013. In 2013 I was thrilled to accept a new position at Nord Country school as the Middle School science and agriculture teacher and feel so lucky to teach at such an amazing school. My family is such a huge influence on me and I love that I get to share my work with my own children. My other jobs include being a wife, mom, and sheep rancher. I am married to Brian and we have three daughters Zoee, Westyn, and Averee. We live in north Chico and have three dogs, three cats, 20 sheep, 13 chickens and a bunny! I am passionate about anything related to agriculture and animals and love sharing this passion with my students. My family and I love the outdoors and spend most of our free time working with the animals, camping and fly fishing.I believe that my students learn best when they are “learning by doing”. Hands-on experiences in and out of the classroom create lifelong learners who crave knowledge.
